RPM Services (Reactive and Preventative Maintenance) Services was formed in 2011, by Mr Derek Smith. Derek's served his time as an electrician here in Ireland and once finished set about training as a refrigeration engineer in Dublin's Bolton street college. He has worked as a service engineer for 12 year's in Ireland and has gained vast experience in data hall cooling systems (Free cooling) and the chiller industry, while still keeping up to date with the latest solutions in the Mech and Elec service industry. He has worked with some of the world's leading manufacturer's of VRV and Splits systems and is confident when he says there is not a fault that his company will not be able to resolve on such systems.

His previous employer seen that his experience and knowledge of the industry seemed to put clients mind at ease and would feel confident that he could deliver on what solutions where being offered. He was then taken off his tools and made business development manager in 2007, where he excelled in sales. The following year was made maintenance manager, and had the responsibility of managing a group of service engineers in the same industry. The company in which he was working was successfully targeting a different industry, after gaining all of this vital experience Derek felt this was the ideal time to jump in the deep end and form RPM Services.
